After an abnormally long winter, spring is finally here. It has however has not been a smooth transition. The weather on any given day still fluctuates anywhere from 40 to 80 degrees. It is raining currently here. Ah, rain. Perfect weather to cuddle up with a book. 

I am wearing a jersey knit skirt and top; I've had these forever. Jersey knit is a fantastic option for layering and it packs well without taking much space. This particular outfit I have worn out on the town with a pair of heels and on weekend day strolls with a pair of flip flops. Found a tree loaded with pink flowers that seems to compliment my outfit as a background. The sight of colorful blossom filled trees is my favorite thing about Spring.

As one navigates through the list of summer parties and weddings to attend this summer, summer dress shopping can get time consuming. I suggest if you find something you like and it is in your budget to just purchase it, the right occasion will always arise.

This Peter Som number is forgivingly designed and although not wedding appropriate - due to the color, it has already made it's round in the party circle. Due to unusual wrapping and design it seeked quiet a bit of attention at the last event.  It has a haute couture presence, with the elegance of Greek wear and provides the comfort of a movement without compromising the shape of the dress.

Sporting evidence of last weekends fashion decadence! Caught in the residue of sunlight, channeling inner Marie Antoinette / ballerina by layering lace top over a feather skirt. All I need is a big wig and a killer set of ballerina legs to finish the look.

I have practically been living in these Joe's Jeans. I wore them last weekend with some flat sandals and a lose t-shirt. Then, I dressed them up in the evening. During weekday evenings I strolled around in my day jacket and open-toed sandals. They are so comfortable. When I took these photos, this jeans were in their fifth consecutive wear. Probably not the best time to be taking blog photos, but I figured it is essential to show all sides of my daily fashion existence.

This is what I was prancing around in on Sunday. I wanted to create a polished look with a denim piece and this is what I came up with. This is evidence that you can pretty much mix and match anything to create the look you are trying to achieve. More creative attempts coming soon.
